You can try to make sandwiches when you require something essential but handy to bring. You had better to use whole-grain or whole-wheat bread or tortilla to wrap the sandwiches. You can fill the wrap with peanut butter. Slices of meat as well as cues of low-fat cheese also can be alternative for the sandwich filling. Add vegetables into the filling too since they are rich of nutrients and fiber. Lettuce, tomatoes, and green peppers serve as good vegetable options to make sandwich filling.
Fresh fruit and veggies
Fruits and veggies also can be easy yet healthy snacks for college students. All you have to do is slicing the veggies before going to campus and store them in small plastic bag so that you can take it fast whenever you start to crave. Celery, carrots, and beans are types of veggies which have good taste even they are consumed raw.
Besides veggies, you also can slice fruits in order to make healthy snacks when hunger appears within classes. Fresh fruits serve as healthy and delicious snack to munch. If you want to bring apple slices as snack, you had better to toss it with a teaspoon of lemon juice to avoid it turning brown when you keep it before consumption.
Warm snacks
Warm snacks can be good choice when you are study until night. This can be healthier option rather than consuming pizza or other instant foods. Warm a pita around 30 minutes using microwave. Then, add cheese cream and tomato slices as topping. You can add your favourite veggies to this snack as well. Besides, you can get baked potatoes as another snack option.
As alternative, try to cut an apple and apply 1 teaspoon of margarine and brown sugar on its top. Sprinkle the top with cinnamon and raisin before heat it to microwave. Let the apple cool for few minutes and it serve as warm and sweet snacks for college students.
